Health Systems Strengthening
We support countries in strengthening the foundations of health systems – their governance, financing, workforce, information systems, service delivery, and access to essential medicines and technologies.
We have particular expertise in health economics, health policy, health governance, health system responsiveness, implementation science, demography, and in using health data for decision making. We work with countries to strengthen the capacity of primary healthcare workers to deliver respectful and high quality care.
We undertake applied research to inform, monitor and evaluate strategies to strengthen health systems, and use evidence, including from non-health sectors, to advocate for allocation of resources to increase health equity.
