WaterAid Canada WASH Health System Assessment Tools

Project Details

WaterAid Canada is starting a new Global Affairs Canada funded project titled: ‘Strengthening Wholistic and Inclusive Systems for Health (SWISH) through Integration, Prevention and Women’s Empowerment’ that will reach more than 2 million people.

This seven-year project supported by Global Affairs Canada as part of the Resilient Health Systems for All initiative aims to help address preventable diseases and deaths by supporting local governments and partners to integrate inclusive Maternal Neonatal Child Health and WASH services and practices within the health systems in three countries (Liberia, Pakistan and Zambia).

Health programs and initiatives require ongoing monitoring to ensure and initiatives require ongoing monitoring to ensure interventions are working and allows for adjustments to be made as needed.

Nossal Institute will review and adapt health system measurement tool(s) to produce an assessment tool that can be used to support the baseline assessment and ongoing monitoring within the SWISH project with a focus on understanding how WASH is integrated into, and strengthening, health systems in the focus countries.
