Small Island States: Enabling a Just Energy Transition in the Maldives
Project Details
This project will support the ADB to improve the energy security and the sustainable transition of the energy sector in the Maldives in selected outer islands, with a focus on gender equality and social inclusion.
The project complements the Preparing the Outer Islands Sustainable Energy Development Project the Accelerating Sustainable System Development Using Renewable Energy Project in strengthening capacity, and in pilot testing and promoting disaster resilient and renewable energy based farming technologies, mainstreaming gender equality and social inclusion.
