Students and staff seeking advice or support for sexual assault, sexual harassment, bullying or discrimination should contact staff in the Safer Community Program in the first instance.

Depending on what the complaint is about, students wishing to escalate a complaint would normally do so through the student complaints and grievances website (ttps://students.unimelb.edu.au/campus-life/policy-and-conduct/student-complaints-and-grievances). The site explains the process step-by-step. However, if the complaint involves allegations of sexual harassment, bullying or discrimination staff in the Safer Community Program are available to support and guide students through the complaint submission process.
If staff would like advice on conflict resolution or to make a complaint regarding colleagues, they can discuss with management, Louise Young as the P&C BP, or alternatively they can go through the University’s Inappropriate Behaviour Hotline (www.mustaffcontactline.com.au) or call 1800 685 463.
Staff can also raise concerns, report incidents and access support at this site.
