Equitable Systems for Health

The Equitable Systems for Health Unit explores how social, economic, and environmental factors shape health, while acknowledging the power dynamics that often create and perpetuate inequities. We work across sectors, leveraging our team’s diverse expertise to identify and explore challenges, strengthen health systems, and create more equitable opportunities for better health in all communities.

Dr Brigitte Tenni, Equitable Systems for Health, Co-head

Brigitte is a public health practitioner with a focus on, and expertise in, HIV programming, capacity building, social research and monitoring and evaluation. Her experience is in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, HIV and hepatitis C, drug policy, treatment preparedness, advocacy and the Greater Involvement of People living with HIV & AIDS (GIPA).

Daniel is a social scientist whose research aims to support more equitable and effective health system development (and ultimately healthier communities) through engagement with community perspectives and approaches to health.
