World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on Women's Health
Project Details
We work in partnership with the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office and other agencies working in the region to identify research priorities in relation to gender and women's health, and to build regional research capacity through teaching programs, higher degree research training, short courses (including in-country programs), and collaborative research with local researchers.
Recent Collaborating Centre activities have included:
- development of a resource for health workers to increase their capacity to recognise and respond to violence against women with disabilities in Asia and the Pacific
- a report outlining how the WHO quality of care framework for maternal and child health could be applied in Laos
- a major editorial role in the development of the Regional Framework for Reproductive Health in the Western Pacific.
