Storytelling encounters as medical education: Crafting relational identity
Room 410, Level 4, 207 Bouverie Street, Carlton
Dr Sally Warmington, Honorary Research Fellow
In her PhD project, Sally used a dialogic approach to analyse narratives told by students, clinical teachers and patients during ethnographic fieldwork in a teaching hospital. This work offers a fresh perspective on how identities are constructed relationally through storytelling and provides rare insights into patient experiences of participation in clinical teaching.
