Professor Shyamali Dharmage
As a doctor, a respiratory epidemiologist and public health physician, Professor Dharmage is helping to change the future through her remarkable research, the application of her findings to improve clinical care and her careful mentoring of new and emerging leaders.
Over the last 20 years, Professor Dharmage’s research program has substantially changed the landscape of obstructive lung diseases by generating significant new knowledge, influencing clinical and public health policy nationally and internationally, informing new trials, shifting approaches to treatments and creating new fields of research.
We congratulate Professor Dharmage on her well deserved award, the title of Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor.
