Max Barot

Max is a livestock veterinarian with a passion for working with farmers and the wider community to better utilize limited resources. Max was born and raised in Kenya before moving to Australia as a teenager to complete his schooling and a veterinary degree at the University of Queensland.

After graduation, Max worked in livestock practice in New Zealand.  He then undertook took an internship role at the International Livestock Research institute based in Hanoi, Vietnam. During this time he completed a Masters in Veterinary Public Health of the University of Sydney. After his time in Hanoi, he returned to Australia and had teaching and international animal health roles at the University of Adelaide and for the Australian government. At the Nossal institute, Max is part of the team working on the livestock livelihoods project in Myanmar.
