Dr Anna Barrett

Senior Technical Advisor

Anna is a researcher and humanitarian response practitioner with experience in health, education, and child protection. She trained at the University of Melbourne as a clinical child psychologist and completed her PhD in developmental neurobiology, and worked within international development and humanitarian responses through UN agencies and NGOs in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East from 2010-2020.

After supporting Sierra Leone’s Ebola Virus Disease response in 2014, Anna developed a particular interest in infectious diseases and has since undertaken graduate training in infectious diseases and microbiology.

In her role as Senior Technical Advisor for the One Health Unit, Anna supports projects at the intersection of global human, animal, and climate health and rights.
