Research Focus: Child health; Health equity & inclusion, Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)
Dr Santos is a social epidemiologist who is passionate about reducing social inequalities, especially in the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector and those related to people with disability and the queer community. He also loves telling stories with beautiful plots and figures.
He has worked primarily as a researcher on global health equity projects and monitoring of progress for the Sustainable Development Goals, in partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the World Health Organization, and UNICEF.
Dr Santos has a PhD and a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
