Dr. Md Nuruzzaman Khan is a McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellow with a deep passion for advancing global health through evidence-based research. He holds a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, as well as a Master’s degree with Honors in demography, epidemiology, and statistics.
Dr. Khan is an accomplished biostatistician and public health expert, renowned for his extensive expertise in translating complex data into actionable insights. His work empowers stakeholders to implement effective health strategies, leveraging his significant experience in advanced statistical modeling, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses.
His primary research focus is on maternal and child health, particularly within the context of refugees and forcibly displaced populations. Over the years, he has led and contributed to numerous research projects in these critical areas. His research findings have been instrumental in shaping evidence-based policies and programs, ultimately enhancing maternal and child health worldwide.
Dr. Khan has held academic positions at institutions including the University of Newcastle and La Trobe University in Australia. He currently holds an honorary Lecturer position at the School of Medicine and Public Health, College of Health, Medicine, and Well-being at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
