Jess Chaaban

Jessica Elisa Chaaban (she/her) is a dedicated public health professional based in Melbourne, Victoria. She has a Bachelor of Science and recently completed her Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne. She currently works as a Research Assistant at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. Jessica is deeply committed to addressing social and health-related challenges, with a particular focus on creating a safer, more inclusive, and equitable world. Her professional experience includes significant contributions to the primary prevention of violence against women, gender equity initiatives, and community development projects. Jessica’s passion for women’s health is evident in her work, where she actively collaborates with stakeholders to develop and implement evidence-based strategies that promote gender equity and community well-being across her various roles in local government. Fluent in English and Arabic, Jessica is a strong advocate for marginalized communities, striving to empower individuals and improve health outcomes through her work. Jessica is a member of the FAIR project Youth Advisory Group and is driven by the desire to create positive change in communities.
