As the COVID-19 outbreak grows in Melbourne and threatens to spill out across the locked down areas, is suppression of the virus - otherwise known as flattening the curve - still the best strategy?

Or should Melbourne and the rest of Australia be moving towards eliminating the virus altogether, like New Zealand?
