Hot Spot Quantitative Research

Project Details

The Centre for Mental Health was commissioned by Lifeline Australia to undertake a project involving quantitative data analysis to identify and prioritise suicide hotspot locations across Australian states and territories, and provide recommendations for actions to prevent suicides at suicide hotspots. The project aims to identify the locations of suicide hotspots in Australia; the number of suicide deaths occur at these locations; the profile of those who dying by suicide at these locations; and the location-based factors that may be associated with these hotspot suicides.
