Eliciting health inequality aversion parameters

Project Details

This project aims to shed light on health inequality aversion parameters in the Australian context, with a specific focus on three equity-related variables: socioeconomic status, Indigenous status, and geographic location. Understanding how individuals perceive and prioritize health inequalities is essential for crafting effective health policies. By conducting a survey with the general public, we aim to elicit the preferences of Australians regarding health disparities and their willingness to address them. This research will contribute to the development of evidence-based policies aimed at reducing health inequalities and improving the well-being of all Australians, particularly those who are most vulnerable. It will also serve as one of the building blocks of distributional cost-effectiveness analysis.
