Missing and Messy Data: improving government transparency regarding corporate lobbying (2022-23)

Project Details

This project aims to improve the quality of lobbying transparency in Australia so that harmful industry practices can be better monitored and ultimately addressed. The project has three workstreams: 1) To review and synthesise frameworks for evaluating the transparency and openness of government lobbying data; 2) To map out the specific ways that national governments provide data about lobbying internationally; and 3) To develop a set of evidenced-based recommendations to improve the transparency and openness of Australian government lobbying data.
