Visualising variations: Using the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) to reveal the social geography of NZ

The Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) is a new area-based measure of deprivation for NZ. This presentation describes the development of new ‘Data Zones’ and the IMD, before demonstrating the use of the IMD to explore geographic variations in deprivation across NZ.
