PhD Completion Seminar: "The mental health of Australian university students: trajectories, predictors and outcomes"

Stefan Cvetkovski

Stefan Cvetkovski is a PhD candidate, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne. Stefan is a social scientist with an interest in longitudinal data, who has previously worked on a variety of research projects at Turning Point, University of Melbourne and RMIT.

Three studies were conducted aimed at addressing some of the limitations in the current literature on university student mental health: study 1 examined the mental health trajectories of students relative to their community peers; study 2 examined the socio-economic predictors of mental health trajectories in students; and study 3 examined whether psychologically distressed students were more likely to dropout or take longer to complete their degrees than non-distressed students. The research findings and their implications are discussed.

Wednesday 27th February, 1pm-2pm Room 405a, Level 4, 207 Bouverie Street.
