JAMA publication: Expenditures and prices of antihyperglycemic medications in the US

Health Economics Unit staff members Xinyang Hua, Natalie Carvalho, Michelle Tew and Professor Philip Clarke published a recent article in the prestigious Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Their study, using MEPS data from 2002 to 2013, showed that expenditure on costly analog insulins has increased dramatically over the last decade.

The article had extensive covering in the US media, including by TIME magazine. Professor Clarke was also interviewed about the study by Norman Swan on the ABC Health Report.
