Dr. Christine Mpundu-Kaambwa has recently joined the Economics of Global Health and Infectious Disease Unit at the Centre for Health Policy as a Senior Research Fellow. She is currently working with A/Prof. Natalie Carvalho on the Efficacy and Demonstration of IntraVenous iron for Anemia (EDIVA) project.

Christine holds an MSc in Economics from the University of East Anglia, UK, and an MPH from the University of Birmingham, UK. She completed her PhD in Health Economics from the University of South Australia, Adelaide. She previously worked at Health and Social Care Economics Group at Flinders University and Research and Evaluation Unit at the University of Adelaide and has held previous appointments at the University of Birmingham and the World Bank. Christine has published in peer-reviewed high-impact journals and is a member of the International Health Economics Association and the Australian Health Economics Society. Christine’s research areas include child health, economics of global health, measurement and valuation of quality of life, and understanding patient preferences through choice modelling.
