Economics of Global Health and Infectious Diseases Unit
Melbourne Health Economics, Centre for Health Policy
We are a group of health economists with a diverse portfolio working on a wide range of policy-relevant studies in collaboration with research institutes, governments, international organisations, and other academics. We aim to improve health equity and outcomes by engaging in high quality health economic research and capacity building globally, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region. Through respectful engagement and our close partnerships, we use health economic methods to achieve improved health outcomes and decision making.
Our research focusses primarily on data- and model-driven economic evaluations, as well as methodological advancements to incorporate equity within our analyses. Much of our work is conducted alongside clinical trials, implementation studies, and epidemiological studies. Our team has a particular focus on infectious diseases and vaccines, where we leverage our existing collaborations to synthesize infectious disease modelling with health technology assessment.
