Evaluation and Implementation Science within the Master of Public Health

What we offer: specialisation in Evaluation and Implementation Science within the Master of Public Health

The Evaluation and Implementation Science unit within the Centre for Health Policy makes a major contribution to the MSPGH flagship graduate program, the Master of Public Health. Our academics deliver four subjects in evaluation and health policy, as well as research supervision for students who wish to conduct a research project or participate in a professional practice unit in evaluation and implementation science as part of their capstone course requirement for a degree of Master of Public Health.

To introduce students to Evaluation and Implementation Science our Unit offers the following electives:

The core objectives of our subjects are:

  • To introduce students to the core concepts and methods of key evaluation approaches in the design of health program evaluation.
  • To equip students with the knowledge and skills required to develop and conduct a healthcare environment evaluation in diverse healthcare settings
  • To introduce students to how evidence and key stakeholder perspective are used in public governmental policy formulation to drive health program development and implementation.
  • These subjects act as a prerequisite for students who wish to conduct an Evaluation and Implementation Science informed research project or participate in a professional practice.
