New book launched - When Doctors and Parents Disagree: Ethics, Paediatrics and the Zone of Parental Discretion

Dr Rosalind McDougall and Professor Lynn Gillam (Health Humanities and Social Sciences Unit, Centre for Health Equity) have published a book co-edited with A/Prof Clare Delany (Melbourne Medical School).  The book is an international collaboration by 17 ethicists and clinicians, exploring ethical decision-making when clinicians and parents disagree about medical treatment for a child.  When Doctors and Parents Disagree: Ethics, Paediatrics and the Zone of Parental Discretion was launched last week by Professor Benjamin Wilfond, Director of the Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics, Seattle Children’s Hospital.  Dr McDougall was interviewed about the project on ABC Radio National’s ‘Life Matters’ on 9 September.  Click here for further information about the project
