The impact of interventions at frequently used suicide locations on occurrence of suicides at other sites

Project Details

Despite there being good evidence supporting the effectiveness of various interventions in preventing suicide at frequently used locations (i.e. restricting access to means, encouraging help-seeking, increasing the likelihood of intervention by a third party), there have been concerns that such efforts may displace suicides to other sites. Our systematic review and meta-analysis aims to synthesise the findings from relevant studies to draw a comprehensive conclusion about this body of research.
