Evaluation of R U OK?
Project Details
R U OK? is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that aims to prevent suicide by inspiring people to have regular, meaningful conversations with others by asking, ‘Are you ok?’ and to build a more connected community. Its most high-profile activity is ‘R U OK? Day’, which has been operating annually since 2009. On this day, Australian people are encouraged to ask each other ‘R U OK?’ to connect and support each other.
This project is using national population survey data collected from June 2018 to September 2023 to examine whether exposure to the R U OK? campaign has increased, and the impact of R U OK? on help giving and help receiving attitudes and behaviour, over time.
