Asia-Pacific Pneumococcal Disease Control in the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine Era

Project Details

The project is a National Health and Medical Research Council Centre of Research Excellence that aims to address the outstanding research gaps for pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) use in the Asia-Pacific Region, namely the country decisions regarding reduced dose PCV schedules (1+1), and understanding serotype replacement following vaccine introduction. In addition, the project will forge partnerships with key end-users to ensure research translation, establish new international linkages to enable broader dissemination and develop the next generation of nationally competitive researchers; with provision of capacity building and early career development opportunities and collaboration.
