This study explores contexts, perceptions, and lived experiences of adolescent pregnancy and parenthood in the Philippines. Quantitative analysis sought to determine what more could be learned about adolescent sexual initiation and pregnancy using existing survey data. Qualitative (thematic and narrative) analysis of primary data gathered with youth and knowledgeable adults in Palawan, Philippines provided insights regarding the role of digital technology and social media in young Filipinos’ intimate relationships, pathways to adolescent pregnancy among Filipino youth, and Filipino young people’s lived experiences of parenthood.
