My PhD aims to contribute to future pandemic policy making, by theorising and demonstrating the utility of economic modelling that is integrated into dynamic epidemiological models of pandemic policy response options. Two exemplar evaluations will be conducted; the impact of including long-term cardiovascular sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection when using modelling to determine the optimal mix of public health and social measures, and a more generic assessment of future pandemic scenarios.
