Multiple myeloma is a plasma cell neoplasm arising from the malignant transformation of B-cells. Despite recent improvements in prognosis, it remains incurable, with only a few well-established risk factors. This thesis uses complementary epidemiological methods to investigate the influence of several potentially modifiable exposures on multiple myeloma risk and survival.
