Kristy Meiselbach bio
Kristy Meiselbach is a Gunditjmara woman and a PhD Candidate in the Evaluation and Implementation Science Unit at the Centre for Health Policy. Her research focuses on developing culturally relevant, strengths-based programs and understanding how implementation approaches influence outcomes for community. Kristy’s doctoral work explores the barriers and enablers that shape Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s access to cervical screening, particularly the self-collection pathway, with the aim of improving service delivery, and reducing the proportion of non-screened or under-screened Aboriginal people with a cervix. Kristy is also part of the editorial team for First Nations Health and Wellbeing: The Lowitja Journal, where she is committed to advancing Indigenous knowledge and scholarship through the journal’s capacity-building initiatives, including training, webinars, and support for emerging First Nations researchers.
