Debbie Hayes bio

Debbie Haynes is a proud Gamilaraay woman and Aboriginal Clinical Psychologist committed to Indigenous healing, advocacy, and community-led transformation. A PhD Candidate at the University of Melbourne, she co-developed alongside community, the “Walking in Blak Traks” cultural training to embed SEWB frameworks into NSW OOHC clinical practices. Her publication “The Effectiveness of Trauma-Based Therapies for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Children in Out-of-Home Care”, demonstrates her dedication to truth-telling, self-determination, and collective flourishing
