New Staff members to Indigenous Health Equity Unit- July 2026
Two new staff members have joined the Indigenous Health Equity Unit, Onemda.
Dr Mandy Truong, Senior Research Fellow Dr Mandy Truong is a public health and social policy researcher with particular interest in racism/anti-racism, First Nations cultural safety, health equity, child and family wellbeing. She most recently worked in the Child and Family Evidence and Evaluation team at the Australian Institute of Family Studies, managing an evidence translation program related to child and family wellbeing. Mandy completed her PhD and MPH at the MSPGH and was previously an optometrist. | ![]() |
Dr Tiffany Phillips, Research Fellow Dr Tiffany Phillips is research fellow with the Indigenous Health Equity Unit who will be working on the Healing the Past by Nurturing the Future Birth Trauma project. Dr Phillips comes to us from Monash University and Melbourne Sexual Health Centre where for the last decade she has worked as a mixed-methods public health researcher. She has a passion for health equity and has made research co-designed with communities a cornerstone of her work. | ![]() |
