MDHS Indigenous Conference Awards

The MDHS Indigenous Awards recognise individuals and teams across the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences for their outstanding contributions to their work, our communities, and the advancement of Indigenous excellence.

Award recipients will contribute to the Advancing Health Strategy 2030 by making a difference to the health and wellbeing of our communities by collectively meeting the challenges of a changing world.

This year's recipients:

• The Excellence in Early Career Research Award: awarded to Dr Shani Crumpen
• The Excellence in Research Award: awarded to Dr Joanne Luke (Onemda)
• The Professional Staff Excellence Award: awarded to Melanie Schmidt
• The Excellence in Knowledge Translation Award: awarded to Dr Andrea Clarke (Indigenous Studies Unit, Onemda)
• The Excellence in Education Award: awarded to Madelyne Hudson Buhagiar
• The Excellence in Community Engagement Award: awarded to Tracey Hearn
• The Excellence in Supporting Indigenous Outcomes Award (recognising exemplary allyship): awarded to A/Prof Mitchell Anjou (MB: Indigenous Eye Health Unit, Onemda)
