Implementation and evaluation of digital health interventions for preventing and managing NCDs

This PhD project mainly investigates whether digital health interventions could effectively improve the prevention and management of chronic conditions at the population level and what factors may influence the implementation and effectiveness. Research activities are mainly built on three projects: (1) a cluster randomized controlled trial to evaluate a system-integrated technology-enabled model of care for  the secondary prevention of stroke in rural China (The SINEMA project); (2) a randomized controlled trial to evaluate a conversational agent-based digital health intervention for improving diabetes self-management among people with type II diabetes in Australia (My Diabetes Coach Project); (3) a systematic evaluation on the quality of existing Chinese applications for diabetes self-management.
