Some ideas for the better use of PRO data in HTA decision making

Presenter: Dr Andrew Lloyd

Andrew Lloyd is co-founder and now Scientific Advisor at Acaster Lloyd
(a specialist patient reported outcomes consultancy). His background
is in patient reported outcomes research, with a focus on patient
preferences / utilities and the application of PRO techniques within
economics and outcomes research. Andrew has held senior positions
at ICON PLC, Oxford Outcomes Ltd. and United BioSource Corporation.
He has also held research posts at several universities within the UK
including being an Honorary Research Fellow at the London School of
Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. For many years he taught on the
Outcomes Research course at the University of York with Paul Kind and
latterly with Mark Sculpher.

About the talk:
Andrew's research work is focused on developing and testing
assessments of health-related quality of life with a particular focus on
utility measurement. He has undertaken work in a broad range of
therapeutic areas including oncology, autoimmune disease and many
rare diseases. Much of the consulting work that he undertakes is used
to support NICE submissions. Andrew is an active member of ISPOR,
where he teaches on their short course programmes. He was
previously an Associate Editor at Value in Health and Medical Decision
Making. He sits on the International Advisory Board for Quality of Life
Research and is a board member of the EuroQol Research Foundation
