Optimising the Adoption of Precision Medicine in Blood Cancer: A Health Economics Perspective
Presenter's biography:
Jenny (Xinran) Liu is a PhD student in the Cancer Health Services Research Group at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. She completed a Master's degree in Health and Pharmaceutical Administration, with research focusing on health preferences and health utility measurement. Jenny’s PhD project is supervised by Prof Gang Chen, A/Prof Piers Blombery and Dr Fanny Franchini. The project will explore the preferences and real-world evidence for genomic testing in blood cancers.
Abstract:
Jenny (Xinran)’s research focuses on the real-world implementation of precision medicine in blood cancers. By integrating patient and physician preferences, real-world evidence and economic modelling, her work aims to identify barriers to implementation and support more equitable access to genomic testing, ensuring that advances in precision medicine translate into people-centred benefits for everyone affected by blood cancer.
