Abstract: Health care systems are complex and challenging for patients to navigate. This qualitative research examines the mechanisms, defined as people, process and technologies, that enable patients to navigate health care. The research, developed through case studies in Victoria, Australia and Wales, United Kingdom, explored experiences of actors from across the micro, meso and macro levels to understand the connectivity between patients and systems. The seminar will discuss the practical and policy approaches that the countries can learn from one another.
