Title: Implementation Evaluation of High Risk Foot Services in relation to Access, Intake and Patient Journey in Two Settings

Abstract: Background: High risk foot complications (e.g. amputations) cause major morbidity and mortality, yet access to specialised High Risk Foot Services (HRFS) is limited. Aim: To examine barriers and facilitators to HRFS access at Liverpool Hospital and Albury Wodonga Health. Method: Using implementation science, this mixed methods study involved interviews, surveys, and service data from 33 participants. Results: Framework Analysis identified seven barrier themes and five facilitator themes across health system, organisational, and individual levels. Conclusion: Findings inform strategies to improve HRFS access.
Bio: Julie is a podiatrist and lecturer at Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Podiatry, Master of Public Health, and Graduate Certificate in Tertiary & Adult Education. She has extensive clinical experience across public and private sectors, including community health and acute hospitals. Julie has also worked as a Project Officer in public affairs, health promotion, and Department of Health initiatives. Julie’s research interests include podiatry education, models of care, health program evaluation, digital health and technology, and 3D printing.
