Title: An economic perspective on developmental and epileptic encephalopathies

Abstract: Developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs) are severe childhood epilepsies with major impacts on families and society. This PhD research examines health-related quality-of-life measures in childhood epilepsy, quantifies caregiver productivity losses and spill-over effects, and evaluates the cost-effectiveness of a mental health intervention (MICE-DEE).
Bio: Amir is a PhD student with the Child Health Economics Unit at Melbourne Health Economics, supervised by Professor Kim Dalziel and Dr Li Huang. His research examines the economic impact of developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs) on children and their families.
