On June 19, Dr. Li Huang from the Melbourne Health Economics Group presented research on inequalities in government Medicare spending for Australian children at The Future of Medicare Symposium in Canberra, celebrating Medicare's 40th anniversary. The research featured the lead author Prof. Kim Dalziel and senior authors Profs. Philip Clarke and Harriet Hiscock.

The event, chaired by Prof Tony Scott, was attended by just under 100 participants from universities and government. It was organized by the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia, Australian Health Economics Society (AHES), and Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA).
