Abstract: Navigating the transition from school to adulthood poses unique challenges for young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), which can significantly impact their mental health. This PhD project explores the complexities of post-school transitions and mental health of young people with IDD using a mixed-methods approach. It will analyse survey data and employ photovoice methods to address a critical policy juncture in Australia, where the gap in positive post-school transitions and mental health for youth with IDD is widening
