Bio: Claire Bavor is a PhD student and research assistant in the Evaluation and Implementation Science Unit. Her research focuses on ways to improve the acceptability and accessibility of HPV self-collection within Australia's National Cervical Screening Program.

Abstract: HPV self-collection provides flexibility that can be used to extend where and how cervical screening is offered beyond the clinical setting. Thus, innovative cervical screening models can be developed to address existing barriers to participation for different population groups. This research explores the role of innovative screening models using HPV self-collection in the Australian National Cervical Screening Program to promote more equitable participation. In doing so, it considers what is needed to ensure innovative screening models are implemented safely, appropriately, and sustainably in different services and settings.
