Title: Application and improvement of measurement of health-related quality of life for children
Supervisors: Prof. Kim Dalziel, A/Prof. Natalie Carvalho, Snr Research Fellow Li Huang
Abstract: There are many unresolved research issues relating to the measurement and application of HRQoL in pediatric populations. Evidence for children under 5 years old is especially lacking. This thesis aims to explore the current application of HRQoL in children and to improve the measurement of HRQoL. It features six health economics studies of various methodologies, including observational study using longitudinal data, cost-effectiveness analysis, validation and valuation of HRQoL, which contributed to better methods and health care resource allocation decisions.
