Abstract: Corporatisation in healthcare has increased in Australia and internationally. The advantages and disadvantages of increased corporatisation are debated in the literature. Researchers are concerned that corporate healthcare providers focus on profits at the expense of the patients’ wellbeing. While others argue that a corporatised healthcare system provides increased efficiency, accessibility, and better health outcomes. This PhD will attempt to measure corporatisation and its impacts on health services delivery by using Australian general practice as the case study.
