Welcome Vinh Anh Huynh

The Economics of Genomics and Precision Medicine Unit is pleased to welcome Vinh Anh Huynh as our newest PhD student.

Vinh Anh Huynh has recently joined the Economics of Genomics and Precision Medicine Unit within Melbourne Health Economics as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Ilias Goranitis, Dr. Michelle Tew, and A/Prof. Laura Forrest. His PhD focuses on generating evidence to support the implementation of polygenic risk scores (PRS) in routine clinical care for personalised breast and ovarian cancer prevention. His research examines how consumer preferences can inform targeted implementation strategies and enhance the uptake of PRS-guided cancer screening programmes and the economic evaluation of these strategies.

Vinh holds a Master of Public Health (National University of Singapore) and a Bachelor of Economics with Honours (National University of Singapore). His research experience spans palliative care, healthcare systems and services, and a range of health economics and outcomes research methods, including discrete choice experiments, economic evaluation, disease burden studies, and digital health interventions.

He is passionate about applying an interdisciplinary approach to health economics and translating innovative healthcare technologies into routine practice to improve population health.
