Welcome Dean Regier as Honorary Associate Professor in the Economics of Genomics and Precision Medicine Unit
The Economics of Genomics and Precision Medicine Unit is delighted to welcome Associate Professor Dean Regier as an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne.
Dean is a leading international health economist, Director of the Academy of Translational Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Faculty of Medicine, Associate Professor and the School of Population and Public Health, UBC and a Senior Scientist at the BC Cancer Research Institute. His research spans translational medicine, regulatory science, learning healthcare systems, and AI-supported real-world evidence generation to inform regulatory and reimbursement decision-making. His work has contributed to advancing equitable access to genomic technologies across Canada and globally, particularly in precision oncology and rare diseases.
In his honorary role with the University of Melbourne, Dean will support research and capacity-building efforts within genomics and precision medicine, and offer strategic advice on research methods, policy impact and research funding.
