WHO Expert meeting on Accelerating Access to Human Genomics for Public Health
In April 29-30, A/Prof Ilias Goranitis attended the World Health Organisation Expert Meeting on Accelerating Access to Human Genomics for Public Health in Manila, Philippines. The meeting aimed to raise awareness of the benefits and risks of genomic technology, develop a joint vision for accelerating access in the region, and identify barriers to implementation, with a focus on defining government roles and outlining steps for WHO to coordinate actions.
During the meeting, Ilias presented a talk titled "Understanding the Value of Genomic Initiatives: The Costs and Potential Savings Associated with Their Implementation".
