ISPOR VIC-TAS Student Chapter recognised with prestigious ISPOR awards and welcomes new executive committee members
The Victorian and Tasmanian student chapter of the Professional Society of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) Student Network has been awarded with the “Outstanding New Student Chapter Award” and the “Best Student Chapter Collaboration Award” by the ISPOR Student Network.
Dr Cate Bailey (Health Economics Unit) and Martin Vu (University of Melbourne Cancer Health Services Research group) together with colleagues from Monash University, Deakin University and the University of Tasmania were recognised for their dedication and commitment to students in their inaugural year. In particular, these awards acknowledge the achievements of the student chapter in supporting students in their academic and professional developments through educational and social events such as the Virtual Student Symposium held in May 2021 in collaboration with the ISPOR Sydney Student and ECR Chapter and the joint webinar hosted in collaboration with West Virginia University held in February 2021. The student chapter is supported by Dr Koen Degeling (University of Melbourne Cancer Health Services Research group) and a team of faculty advisors across the four collaborating universities.
The ISPOR VIC-TAS Student Chapter would like to congratulate Martin Vu for his new role as Chapter President for the incoming 2021-2022 Executive Committee. Since forming in April 2020, the ISPOR Victoria and Tasmania Student Chapter has had a hugely successful year and has also contributed to global and regional ISPOR communities. The ISPOR VIC-TAS Student Chapter wishes to thank students and staff across the four universities for their support over the past year.
