Welcoming visiting scholar Peggy Hsu
The Health Economics Unit has the pleasure to host Pei-Jung (Peggy) Hsu from the Centre for Quality Management in the National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). Peggy will be working closely with members of the unit and will be based in the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health for 6 months starting January 2018. Her recent work at NTUH focuses on reducing the avoidable readmission and integrating the administrative and clinical data for supporting leaders’ decision.
During Peggy’s visit, she will be collaborating with Dr. Arthur Hsueh, Prof. Peter Brooks and the Northern Health Hospital on a study on the cost of healthcare acquired complications (HAC) in the high reliability organization (HRO) transformation. She will share the outcome for improving better data/evidence driven decision making and resource prioritizing in quality promotion and patient safety improvement in the hospital.
